In 2007, Avon Canada developed an exclusive String of Hearts charm bracelet to be sold through mark. to help raise money to further expand and develop Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada’s newest mentoring program, Go Girls! Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds. Go Girls! is a program designed to address the physical activity, balanced eating and positive self-image needs of young women ages 12-14 based on a group mentoring model. In its first year, proceeds from the sales of the String of Hearts bracelet totaled more than $50,000 and provided seed money to four member agencies to launch a new Go Girls! program.
